In the months since COVID-19 first impacted our country and community, we have all learned much about how to keep ourselves and our loved ones as safe as possible.
For us at The Porch, the safety and health of our customers and of one another is paramount at all times, and even more so now. We work closely with the Forsyth Department of Health to maintain a high level of sanitation and food safety at all times, and we have made very significant changes to keep up with the best practices as we understand them during this time.
All of our staff have completed the Count on Me NC COVID training program and take great care to follow the guidelines carefully.
We ask that you partner with us in the effort to keep everyone healthy. We will continue to evolve our practices as new information about the virus is discovered, or to be in compliance with any CDC or Health Department guidelines. As you might imagine, changing our business so drastically to be in compliance with these practices has been challenging and can, at times, be frustrating from a customer-service standpoint. It takes more time to do everything, and it is hard to make sure that our guests know how happy we are to see them when our smiles are hidden behind a mask. However, we appreciate your faith in us and want you to know that we are working hard to keep The Porch a safe place during this time.
Finally, we will use this space to update the public on any cases of COVID-19 among our staff or temporary closures due to COVID-19 that we have. We were closed from May 29 to June 17 following a kitchen employee testing positive.
Since June 17th, we have not had any further cases of COVID-19 among our staff.
